IIE SJSU Club T-Shirts

Hello members, 
Our t-shirt order has been completed. As mentioned earlier, the quantity of t-shirts are numbered so please sign up on the sheet in the club room to reserve your size. The price of the t-shirts will be $10/each for this semester but are subjected to increase for next semester's design. 

Welcome BBQ/Potluck​

Come join us to share your favorite dishes and to get to know the new IIE officers. Just sign up for things to bring on the IIE club door. There will be free parking, bathrooms, lots of seating, grassy areas for outdoor sports, and tons of fun.
Open to all ISE students to get to know other students, faculty, club members, club officers, and to get to know about the club and all we have to offer.

On Saturday, Sept. 8th, IIE Chapter 806 hosted a kickoff BBQ social event for all IIE members and ISE students to help build relationships and camaraderie between new and existing students. It provided a great opportunity to talk to the new club officers and to spend time with our fellow students outside of school. Thirty-five people showed up and participated football, soccer and Frisbee. Everyone showed generosity and brought hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken wings and much more food for all to share. This event started at 11 am and lasted until 5:15 pm. Thanks for all who participated in this event. We are looking forward to more successful events like this!

SJ Earthquakes College Night

We are getting people together for a social event at the SJ Earthquakes Soccer Game for College Night! It will be held on Weds., Sept. 19th and everyone is invited, including people that are not members of the club. Just sign up on the sheet on the door! IIE SJSU Mock Interview

The sign-up sheet for our Mock Interviews on Thurs., Sept. 20th is now on the Club Room door. We will be holding interviews every 30 mins. so if you have a time preference for 6-6:30, 6:30-7, 7-7:30, or 7:30-8, please indicate that on the sign-up sheet. This is a great way to gain helpful tips on interviewing skills that are tailored to you! Please sign up so we can get your mock interview time set up.

IIE SJSU Iron Systems Tour

On Friday, Sept. 21st we hosted our first company tour. Iron Systems gave a great 1 hour+ tour to 12 of our club members! We were able to learn about the company and  hear from some VPs of their OEM group. Once we got a little background the company, the VP of OEM Sales and two SJSU grads (MS ISE and BA Psych) conducted the tour of the manufacturing facility. We got to see where production takes place and got into some good details about the servers they make. Thanks to Iron Systems and all of the people who helped put the tour together and for all of the club members that were able to attend! We will bes sure to keep all the members informed about upcoming tours.

Halloween Bowling Night

This past Friday, Oct. 26th, we gathered for bowling at AMF Mission Lanes in Milpitas. We had about 20 people join us, including members and other friends. Most people came dressed up in great costumes showing their Halloween enthusiasm. We were also able to collect large box full of cans that will be added to our barrels in the club room. We had tons of fun bowling for two hours and enjoyed some friendly competition between lanes.

Thank you for all who helped make this event possible, especially all of the club officers. And a
special thanks to all of the club members that were able to attend and make this a great night
out!

IIE SJSU Holiday Donations

Join the IIE Club in the spirit of giving! The holidays are right around the corner and there are many people in our community that could use our help. Bring non-perishable canned goods or an unwrapped toy and the club will donate the items to Second Harvest Food Bank and Toys for Tots for the Holidays.

IIE Club Hot Chocolate/ Spiced Cider Sale

Support the IIE Club in a fundraiser! We will be selling cups of hot chocolate, spiced cider and baked goods donated by our very own club members. There will be a sign up sheet for those who would like to provide items for the bake sale, as well as for those able to volunteer to be at the table. All profits will go towards the end of the semester Holiday Party.
